White Lies has announced that their upcoming album “As I Try Not To Fall Apart” will be released in February next year and that they will go on a European tour in connection with the release! Their latest album “Five” from 2019 was a great success and several concerts sold out on the tour as they did the same year.
“As I Try Not To Fall Apart” was recorded at home in London and fans can expect explosive rock, electro-pop bangers and memorable songs. Singer and guitarist Harry McVeigh, bassist Charles Cave and drummer Jack Lawrence-Brown explain that they will probably never create an album in the same way again and that it may be one of their best albums ever.
The title track on the upcoming album is described by the band as follows “We wrote this song quickly, late one night, and often the songs which come quickest are written from the gut and the heart, not with the head. We wanted the melody to feel like a hymn, to give the confessional lyrics weight despite being wrapped up as a pop song. It’s about accepting vulnerability as a man, and knowing it’s ok to be broken. There’s never been a more pressing time to spread the message that it’s ok to not be ok. ”
When the band released their fifth album, with the name “Five”, it was 10 years since they released their debut album “To Lose My Life…”. They have also released “Ritual” in 2011, “BIG TV” in 2013 and “Friends” in 2016. A lot has happened during their years as active, they have toured the world in front of sold out audiences and their fan base has grown bigger and bigger after each release. We look forward to 2022 when White Lies both releases an album and comes to Sweden!
On April 25, White Lies take on the Ballroom at Berns in Stockholm, tickets are out now!
