Ullna was designed by Sven Tumba and inaugurated by HRH Prince Bertil on August 27, 1981.
After a massive renovation by Jack Nicklaus and his team at Nicklaus Design, the course re-opened in 2013 with mint condition, bentgrass fairways, superfast greens, intricate bright-white marble bunkers, a State-Of-Art irrigation and drainage system, and an updated layout.

Ullna GC is rated #3 in Sweden by Golf Digest, but their aim is higher than that. This semiprivate golf club with 575 members is located on the banks of the Lake Ullna, just 15 minutes north of Stockholm’s City Centre.
Their restaurant with highly acclaimed Chefs Laurent Cousu and Fredrik Granström is ranked number one in Sweden according to Golf Digest.
