Mira Krabbe Åkerlind
About

The entertainment team at Berns has a new Guest Relations Manager, Mira Krabbe Åkerlind. We welcomed her to the team and took the opportunity to hang out with her to get to know her better.

Tell us, who are you?
I was born and raised here in Bromma, Stockholm, but now I live in the city. I’ve always worked with people and I’m very creative, plus I’m a real movie nerd. To me, the nightlife is an art form—reaching out and evoking emotions in people.

What’s your favorite movie and genre?
A Clockwork Orange by Stanley Kubrick is my favorite movie; if you haven’t seen it, you must. Horror and thrillers are my top genres. I love those that are more morbid and evoke strong feelings. Ones that play a bit in abstraction and don’t necessarily follow the framework of reality.

What have you done previously?
I’ve worked in various retail and restaurant jobs, and most recently I came from F12 where I worked this summer, but I’m fairly new to the club scene. I’m looking forward to an exciting time here at Berns as the Guest Relations Manager—you’ll find me here every Friday and Saturday.

What are you looking forward to this fall?
Meeting a new crowd of people. So much happens here, and there’s so much diversity with different genres and dance floors. Also, I’m eager to develop in my new role.

What can guests expect?
Expect to feel seen and welcome—you’ll be taken care of! I’m great at having fun, so you can expect a real fun packed night.

What do you do on a day off?
I, of course, watch a lot of movies. An amazing spot is “Fågel Blå”. Where I love having a beer and watching old classic films. I also ride horses, which gives me a nice balance with the hectic days at work—it’s my way to wind down.

Favorite drink?
Negroni, especially Boulevardier, which is another take on a Negroni.

What’s your go-to cocktail?
GT, it’s a classic for a reason.

Is a shot a must or not?
Yes! My choice is obviously tequila. I also have a soft spot for Fernet—it’s like a punch in the face but in a nice way.

What’s your favorite dish?
I love Asian and Italian cuisine (so unique, I know), but it’s never wrong! I have a real weakness for dumplings. So, Berns Asiatiska will now be a frequent stop for me. I have to recommend their Wagyu Sushi—run and try it because it’s the best thing I’ve ever eaten.

What gets you running to the dance floor?
I love Eurotechno-pop. Think E-Type—all his songs make me want to dance.
Have you visited his restaurant?
YES, I love it!

Share a fun fact about yourself
Speaking of E-Type, I love medieval bars and drinking mead—you’ll often find me at Sjätte Tunnan in Gamla Stan. I also love seeing everyone dressed as Vikings. Oh, and I think chess is really fun, and they often have it there too.

A phrase you use often?
*Sinnes (insane)*—it’s my favorite word right now.
