Meet Sabri and LE! turns 7 years
About

The Berns Nightlife team is lucky to have had Sabri as their Entertainment Manager. We sat down with him to hear more about his journey, the creation of LE! club, and what makes nightlife at Berns so special.

Hi Sabri! Tell us a little about yourself and what you do at Berns.

I started at Berns as a bartender when Stureplansgruppen had just bought it, but I quickly felt that I wanted to do more. I launched a Thursday club in Spegelbaren, which grew into something big, and that’s when I realized that organizing parties and a bit of DJing was my thing. I continued doing that at Sturecompagniet and Spybar until we launched LE! By then, I had already built a large network.

Tell us more about the start of LE!

I helped start LE! together with some great people in late summer 2017. Our vision was simple – we wanted to create a nightclub where there was always full-on dancing, with lights, effects, and a proper club vibe. We put together a strong team, and LE! quickly became one of Stockholm’s best clubs. We’ve kept it going ever since, except for a small break during the pandemic.

What makes LE! and Berns Nightlife so special?

The focus is on dancing and creating a full-night experience. Berns is an entertainment hub where you can eat, stay, and dance all under one roof. LE! feels like a mini-festival indoors, with everything you expect from a real nightclub – lights, sound, effects, and lasers. We’re always striving to update with new effects to keep the atmosphere on point. It’s far from a regular bar or restaurant with music – here, it’s all about the nightclub vibe.

How would you describe a perfect night at LE!?

A perfect night starts with dinner at Berns Asiatiska or Calle P with a big group, followed by drinks at LE! Cocktail, which has a more relaxed, house-party vibe. If the terrace is open, you can grab a drink there in a more lounge-like atmosphere, and then finish the night with full energy on the LE! dance floor until 4 AM. If you’re staying at the hotel, you can just crash and repeat it the next day!

What can people expect in terms of music at LE!, and how has it changed?

People can expect a house party vibe at the cocktail bar, where people can sing along and hang out. At LE!, it’s more EDM and house to really amp up the dancing. We’ve got funky and afro house on the terrace and harder techno inside NEU. There’s something for everyone, and we always try to create an atmosphere where you don’t want to leave.

Do you have any specific events or memories that stand out for you?

When Salvatore Ganacci played with us, it was insanely fun. But we have more club concepts in the house, like NUET, which is incredible.

What’s the most challenging and rewarding part of working in the nightclub industry?
It’s incredibly fun, but also a big challenge to constantly come up with something new. You have to be creative and forward-thinking, doing things that haven’t been done before and keeping everything fresh. A lot of inspiration comes from traveling and visiting other clubs. Stockholm has many great nightclubs, so there’s always competition for guests. The most challenging part is coming up with new ideas and staying relevant, but that’s also what makes the job so exciting.

What really makes it all worthwhile are the relationships you build – with both colleagues and guests. We in the industry are like one big family, and everyone knows what it takes to deliver a great night. We’re all in the same boat, even though it can get a bit rocky sometimes. It’s that balance between collaborating and competing with each other that makes the job so fun. It’s a bit like we’re all trying to steer the boat forward, even though it’s rocking at times – but that’s part of the charm!

What do you think the future holds for Berns Nightlife and LE!?

The future looks bright! I think we’ll see a lot of new creative stars take over and carry the nightlife forward. It takes a broad social skillset and creativity to succeed, and I’m excited to see the next generation step up.

Thank you so much, Sabri!
