Mon Rovîa is an Afro-Appalachian folk artist with roots in Monrovia, Liberia, and based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. As a child, he was rescued from war-torn Liberia and grew up in various parts of North America. His music carries traces of that journey—a unique blend of African storytelling tradition, American folk, gospel, and indie.

Following his experimental debut EP Sunburnt (2020), he released his first full-length album Dark Continent (2021), where his genre-defying sound truly took shape. In recent years, he has released the acclaimed four-part EP series Act 1–4 (2023–2025), exploring themes of identity, faith, loss, and healing. His 2025 single Heavy Foot has further cemented his role as a voice for solidarity and resilience.

With sold-out shows, festival appearances at Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits, and tours alongside Gregory Alan Isakov and Josiah and the Bonnevilles, Mon Rovîa has established himself as one of today’s most distinctive and captivating live performers.

On January 14, 2026, we look forward to welcoming Mon Rovîa to Sweden for a performance at Berns in Stockholm.
