In collaboration with Absolut Vodka, several bars within the Stureplansgruppen have crafted their own interpretations of the classic Cosmopolitan cocktail. What is a Cosmopolitan?
Often called a “cosmo,” it is a delicious cocktail made with Cointreau, vodka, cranberry juice, and lime juice. Belonging to the sour family, it has a fascinating history. Some trace its origins back to the 1920s, but most agree that the version we know today was created by bartenders in the USA during the 1980s. The drink’s popularity soared in the 1990s, largely thanks to Carrie Bradshaw in “Sex and the City.” When Madonna sipped a Cosmo at the Rainbow Room in 1996, the drink became even more iconic. The combination of TV glamour and celebrity allure made the Cosmopolitan an indispensable star in the cocktail world.

Our interpretation is crafted by Emma Egerskog:
Absolut Citron
Homare Yuzy
Kaffir lime
Cranberry
Black currant
Citrus

Instructions: Mix all the ingredients in a mixing glass, stir with ice, and strain into a rocks glass. Serve with a large ice cube and kaffir lime leaves.
